"Amsterdam II"  

In 1975 Wijsmuller bougth the German tugboat  Hamburg, and added the tug to the Wijsmuller fleet as Amsterdam (II). This tug was built in 1971 by Schiffswerft J. Oelkers K.G. at Hamburg, Germany. The contents of the tug are Gross tons 902, Length o.a. 168'-5", breadth 37'-5", depth 16'-5".The propulsion machinery consist of two 9 cyl. M.A.K.diesel engines, turbo charched,  drive a single propellershaft through hydroflex couplings and reduction gear, giving an output of 7.500 I.H.P.
In 1985, the "Amsterdam" was accused by Iran to be an espionage ship, because
it had such advanced equipment on board . The ship was taken in
possession.
